Confirm the Commission is the right body

The Commission's FAQ says complaints about a gaming operator holding a permit issued by the Commission can be directed to it. Check the exact site and permit relationship first. The existence of a complaint route does not itself prove that a site is legitimate, and filing a complaint does not prove the allegations.

Contact the site before the Commission

The dispute-resolution page says player complaints must be submitted to the licence holder or website for review before they are sent to the Commission. Keep the original complaint, submission date, acknowledgement, response and any case number. A vague statement that support was contacted is less useful than a dated record.

Prepare the form

The online form asks for full name, email, date of birth, country of residence, site name, member number or username, date of the event and details of the complaint. The FAQ also lists complaints@gamingcommission.ca. Explain the event in date order and separate what you observed from what you infer.

Do not use phone for submissions or updates

The Commission states that dispute-resolution updates and submissions will not be accepted or addressed by phone. Use the form or complaint email for the case even though a general telephone number appears elsewhere on the site.

Actions that may jeopardize assistance

The Commission warns that its ability to assist may be jeopardized if the complaint was addressed before, is being handled elsewhere, already received another ruling, was discussed publicly or was shared with media. It says an investigation may be discontinued or a complaint invalidated. Read that warning before starting parallel public or formal processes.

Evidence and outcome limits

Keep terms, transaction records and correspondence, but redact passwords, full payment credentials and identity documents from any public copy. This guide does not predict whether the Commission will accept, investigate or resolve a case.
