Ontario verification guide
How to check if an online casino is regulated in Ontario
A four-step exact-domain check for the operator, website address, complaint route and provincial status.

Use the live operator directory
At capture time, iGaming Ontario listed 48 operators and 82 gaming websites. The directory stated it was accurate as of 22 July 2026.
The four-step Ontario check
- 01Search the exact brand
Type the casino name into the iGaming Ontario directory. A result should identify an operator and the gaming website.
- 02Follow the official link
Compare the destination with the address shown in your browser. Lookalike domains can copy names and logos.
- 03Read the operator identity
The legal entity in the terms, the directory and the bank recipient should make sense together.
- 04Save the evidence date
Take a screenshot and record the URL. Market membership can change, and an old review may no longer describe the current site.
What regulated status changes
| Question | Ontario-regulated site | Site outside the directory |
|---|---|---|
| Who manages the market? | Private operator registered with AGCO and under agreement with iGaming Ontario. | No iGaming Ontario operator relationship shown. |
| Player-protection route | Operator complaint process, then relevant provincial escalation. | Mainly operator terms, payment provider and overseas regulator routes. |
| Deposit and data safeguards | Ontario standards and oversight apply. | Depends on the operator and external licence. |
| Transaction dispute | iGaming Ontario can provide guidance within its remit. | iGaming Ontario says it cannot decide these disputes. |
A familiar brand can have different regional products
Some companies operate an Ontario-specific site and a separate international site. A review of one domain does not automatically describe the other. Check the suffix, operator name, terms and payment recipient every time.
If the casino is listed but a withdrawal is stuck
- Use the operator's formal complaint route rather than opening repeated live-chat tickets.
- Ask for a complaint number and the service standard for a response.
- Keep KYC requests, payment records and the terms that applied.
- Use the iGaming Ontario player-support guidance if the formal process does not resolve the issue.
Ontario casino status questions
How do I know if an online casino is regulated in Ontario?
Use the live iGaming Ontario directory and match the exact site address and operator, not only the brand name.
Does an iGaming Ontario logo prove a site is genuine?
A copied logo can be misleading. Verify the domain by following the operator link from the official directory.
Can iGaming Ontario help with an offshore casino dispute?
Its player-support page says it has no legal relationship with unregulated operators and cannot decide their transaction disputes.
Are the rules the same across Canada?
No. Gambling oversight and public operator models vary by province and territory.
