Crypto casino deposits in Canada: finality and recovery-scam risk
A crypto transfer can be traceable without being reversible. Preserve the record, secure accounts and do not pay someone who promises a guaranteed recovery.

The guide reports verified programme or complaint processes. It does not promise an outcome or turn a complaint into a finding.
Finality is not a refund decision
A transfer record can show a date, address, asset and amount. It does not establish why a payment was made, who controlled an address or whether a private dispute will be resolved. Do not claim a transfer was unauthorized if it was approved.
Preserve the minimum useful evidence
Keep the transaction hash, network, wallet addresses, exchange or wallet record, exact casino hostname, account identifier and messages in original form. Never share a seed phrase, password or full identity record with a person offering help.
Secure the account first
Use independently verified contacts for the exchange, wallet provider and bank. Change compromised credentials, enable multi-factor authentication and review alerts or email-forwarding rules. Do not use a number included in an unexpected message.
Treat recovery contact as a new risk
A person demanding a fee, tax, wallet verification or another transfer to release funds creates a separate risk. The Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre provides reporting and prevention information; a report does not guarantee recovery.
Keep complaint routes distinct
A disagreement about a regulated Ontario site belongs first in that operator's formal process. Suspected fraud may be reported through the appropriate official route. iGaming Ontario cannot settle bets, refund wagers or award compensation.
Protect the next dollar
Remove saved payment paths and avoid using crypto or credit to chase a loss. If gambling access is difficult to control, consider BetGuard and confidential gambling support alongside any financial report.

Should a recovery firm be paid upfront?
Treat an upfront-fee recovery approach as a new risk and verify independently.
