Ontario complaint route
Ontario iGaming complaint triage: operator, iGO or AGCO?
Transaction disputes usually start with the regulated operator; regulatory issues may belong with AGCO.

First confirm the site is in Ontario's regulated market
Use the iGaming Ontario operator directory and match the exact site. iGO says it cannot decide disputes involving unregulated operators because it has no legal relationship with them. A similar brand name in another province or on another domain is not enough.
Start transaction disputes with the operator
iGO lists winnings, payout amount, payment handling, terms, bonuses, identity checks, account closure, voided bets and technical issues as matters usually taken through the regulated operator's formal complaint process first. Obtain a complaint reference and keep the response timeline.
When to return to iGO
If the operator does not respond within its service standard after follow-up, gives an unsatisfactory final answer, or has ceased operating in Ontario, iGO says a player may submit the unresolved matter for review. iGO also states that it cannot settle bets, refund wagers or award compensation.
When AGCO is the better route
iGO directs regulatory topics such as responsible gaming, suspected illegal activity and advertising to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario when contacting the operator first may be inappropriate. AGCO's published role includes regulatory complaints about game integrity, privacy misuse, responsible-gambling breaches and money laundering.
Build a disciplined file
- Exact site and player ID.
- Operator complaint number.
- Terms in force and transaction records.
- Dated chronology and complete correspondence.
- The requested outcome, stated separately from allegations.
Redact passwords and full payment credentials from copies that do not need them.
Do not overstate the result
A complaint submission is an allegation for review. An iGO response is not automatically a regulatory finding, and an AGCO enforcement record should be described only to the scope and date published. Keep private dispute outcomes and public regulatory conclusions in separate lanes.
